The 4 Special Forces Command celebrated the 2024 West African Social Activities (WASA) festival with a vibrant showcase of cultural heritage and military traditions, reinforcing the spirit of unity among personnel and the broader community.
Acknowledging the importance of troop morale, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) commended the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen O.O. Oluyede, for his commitment to fostering camaraderie within the ranks. “His unwavering support, including financial backing for this year’s celebration, underscores his dedication to sound administration and the well-being of our troops,” he noted.
Representing the state government, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to strengthening security collaboration with the military. “We deeply appreciate the sacrifices made by our armed forces, and as a government, we will continue working closely with the military to maintain peace and security in Nasarawa State,” he assured.
The event featured a colorful array of cultural performances, traditional cuisine, and military parades, drawing together soldiers, dignitaries, and their families in an atmosphere of camaraderie and festivity.
