The Super Eagles of Nigeria are gearing up for critical fixtures in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign, as they prepare to face Rwanda and Zimbabwe in decisive encounters.
Nigeria will lock horns with the Amavubi of Rwanda on Friday, March 21, at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali. Five days later, the three-time African champions will take on the Warriors of Zimbabwe at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
These match dates were officially announced via the Super Eagles’ X (formerly Twitter) handle on Tuesday.
The Nigerian team has had a challenging qualification journey so far, with three draws and one defeat in four matches, leaving them winless in the campaign. The Super Eagles currently sit in fifth place in Group C with three points, trailing the group leaders by four points.
With these upcoming fixtures, the team will be seeking a much-needed turnaround to bolster their chances of securing a spot in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
