
Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, has disclosed that the global music icon has no plans to return to acting.
Although it has been over a decade since Beyoncé last appeared in a live-action film, she lent her voice to the Lion King franchise, including the 2019 remake and the upcoming Mufasa: The Lion King, where she stars alongside her daughter, Blue Ivy.

However, Tina Knowles recently hinted that her daughter’s acting career is firmly behind her. Sharing a throwback clip of Beyoncé portraying Etta James in Cadillac Records, Knowles expressed nostalgia over her daughter’s decision to step away from the big screen.
“[Cadillac Records] is still one of my favorite movies, and it makes me miss the fact that my child decided not to continue with movies. She killed it in this role,” she wrote.

Before stepping away from acting, Beyoncé starred in several major films, including Dreamgirls, Austin Powers in Goldmember, and Carmen: A Hip Hopera.
