During the premiere of Apple Music’s The King’s Music Room on Monday, the British monarch shared insights into his diverse musical preferences. Among the songs he highlighted was “Kante” by Davido, featuring Fave, which he described as one of his personal favorites.
“Davido has made me love Pidgin language,” King Charles said. “I would like to speak it the next time I visit Nigeria. Thanks to Afrobeats, it’s becoming more popular around the world.”
The royal endorsement adds another layer to Afrobeats’ global influence, as Nigerian artists continue to bridge cultural gaps and take indigenous sounds to international audiences.
