Remo Stars are determined to bounce back from their recent setback as they prepare to take on Kwara United in Ikenne.
The league leaders suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Enugu Rangers over the weekend, trimming their lead at the top of the NPFL table to eight points. Meanwhile, second-placed Shooting Stars (3SC) also stumbled, losing 2-1 to Heartland in Owerri. Defending champions Enugu Rangers have now climbed to third place, just two points behind 3SC.
As the title race intensifies, midweek fixtures present a chance for clubs to regain momentum. Remo Stars will host Kwara United, while 3SC look to recover against Lobi Stars at home. Elsewhere, El Kanemi Warriors will clash with Bendel Insurance, and Abia Warriors, currently fifth in the standings, will face Enugu Rangers in a crucial showdown.
In Uyo, Akwa United will go head-to-head with fourth-placed Rivers United, while Bayelsa United welcome Nasarawa United to Yenagoa. At the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium, Katsina United will take on Enyimba in another key encounter.
Other fixtures include Niger Tornadoes vs. Heartland in Minna, Sunshine Stars facing Kano Pillars in Ijebu Ode, and Ikorodu City battling Plateau United at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan.
With the season entering a critical phase, all eyes are on Remo Stars to see if they can maintain their grip on the title race or if the chasing pack will close in.
