Cristiano Ronaldo showcased his brilliance once again, netting twice in Al Nassr’s 3-1 triumph over Al Khaleej on Tuesday night. His efforts propelled him to the summit of the Saudi Pro League goalscoring chart, surpassing Aleksandar Mitrovic and Karim Benzema.
Ronaldo opened the scoring in the 65th minute with a precise low drive from the edge of the area, marking his 100th goal contribution since joining the Riyadh-based club in December 2022. Despite a brief setback when Al Khaleej equalized in the 80th minute, Sultan Al-Ghannam restored Al Nassr’s lead shortly afterward.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner sealed the victory deep into stoppage time, scoring his 13th league goal of the season. This placed him one goal ahead of Mitrovic of Al Hilal and two ahead of Benzema of Al Ittihad.
With the win, Al Nassr climbed to third place on the league table but remained 11 points behind leaders Al Hilal, who later extended their lead with a 4-1 victory over Al Wehda.
